Application procedures
Application fees:
-> €105 regardless of the number of application choices (excluding 2025-2026 scholarship holders awarded by the French government based on social criteria)
The following two conditions must be met in order to apply:
- hold of be preparing for one of these two diplomas:
• certificate of secondary scientific education
• certificate of admission to higher scientific studies - the diploma must not be issued by a French of Moroccan institution (differentiated admission)
The available tracks depend on the language proficiency of the applicant (different prerequisites may apply to each track). An online questionnaire for incoming students will help define your profile and the tracks you may apply for.

Please note:
- the GLOBALINSA+ course in INSA Rouen Normandie includes a core engineering program of 3 years instead of 2 for other courses (the 1st year of the first phase is divided by two).
- Before they can join 1st year of International Track in September, non-native French-speaking students at INSA Rennes attend a linguistic and scientific semester from February to June (for further information: https://www.insa-rennes.fr/globalinsa.html).
- Specific application procedures exist for applicants holding a GaoKao diploma awarded in China. A semester of French language training must be completed at INSA Rennes (beginning in February) before joining an international track the following academic year, subject to validation of the required level. - INSA Toulouse runs a specific admission procedure for applicants holding a Norwegian secondary school diploma, leading to the NORGINSA track.

ASIA POOL
While three application sessions are available depending on your country, your application will only be examined once.
Chinese applicants are required to take a mathematics test (organised by the INSA Group) and an interview for the December session. For further information on this topic, please contact asinsa-chine@insa-lyon.cn.

LATIN AMERICA and the CARIBBEAN POOL
While two application sessions are available depending on your country, your application will only be examined once.
These sessions are open to all applicant profiles from the same country (students who are preparing for their secondary school diploma or already hold one).
All applicants from this pool will pass a mathemactics test (for both application sessions, and all countries). The test will be organised by INSA Group remotely.
